Cross on a mountain top

I have started a blog and/or a website several times before but never kept it going. Each time, I felt like no one would want to read what I say. Who am I? Just some guy. Nobody cares what I think.

I have been thinking lately, though, that I should blog because I am a Christian. Christians have full access to the truth. The world needs truth, now more than ever, in this time of confusion and misinformation. Christians “have the mind of Christ” as it says in 1 Corinthians 2.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Let that soak in for just a minute. “We have the mind of Christ.” I have the mind of Christ Jesus, Lord of all, Creator, whom the apostle John referred to as the Word – literally meaning “logos.” Hard to fathom, yet there it is in the Bible and I believe it.

Since I have the mind of Christ – the Word – Logos, I have something to offer the world. I have a responsibility to share the Truth even if no one listens. This is my primary reason for blogging. I hope and pray that something I share here will help someone – even just one person – draw nearer to Jesus Christ. I invite you to join me as I learn to think like God thinks.
